His parents are from Sevilla, from the district of Triana; she was a tailor and he was a carpenter; they emigrated to Barcelona in a very difficult moment when Spain went through a hard crisis , but they were in Barcelona just a year. The new place they went to was Castellón where they lived until the beginning of the eighties.a His childhood was marked by the union and love of his family and by the toughness that took place in the streets in those days. When he was 18 and in the middle of the uproar of the so-called "Movida madrileña", Ángel moved to Madrid and started to work with Super 8, photography and video.
"I write because it is a necessity, I produce by obligation and I direct because it is my passion". He started to write because of a love that fell through; his first script is a deep piece about life and death from three points of view: childhood, adult age and old age. His works as a scriptwriter and as a director were very well accepted in different parts of the world. He is a self-taught artist, his films have a strong commitment to social affairs; it´s clear that in all his works there is a very sharp and critical element. Review of "Hombres Tranquilos"
