How to Figure Your Numbers

The first method is to place the month, day and year in a column and do simple addition. Then, take the result and add the numbers together. I've used my birthday as an example:

   12     Number of birth month
   25     Day of Month
 1952     Year of birth
 ----
 1989   1+9+8+9 =27=2+7= 9

 

Therefore, my life path number is 9.

The other method is to first add the numbers of the day and get a result. Then add the numbers of the month and get a result. Then add the numbers of the year and get a result. Reduce any double digit numbers by adding. You will then add the three results to come to the final number - the Life Path number:

Month 12 = 1+2 = 3 Day 25 = 2+5 = 7 Year 1952 = 1+9+5+2 = 17 = 1+7 = 8 Then you add: 3+7+8 = 18 = 1+8 = 9 You will notice we arrived at the same number. However, by using both methods, should the final number be 11 or 22, which are considered master numbers you will not automatically reduce them.

Your Life Path number is the path you are on in this life. Many numerologists consider that you have already learned the lessons of earlier path numbers in your past lifetimes. Therefore, a 9 Life Path number would indicate that you have already worked through paths one through eight. You will then start the cycle at Life Path 1 in your next incarnation.

Learning to work with the attributes, strengths and weaknesses of whatever Path you are in, will help you lead a more fulfilling life. It will show you the areas you are most likely to succeed, your "purpose" in this life, and much more.

Each path has positives and negatives, and none are better than another. (so you don't get to be snobby just because you might be a Nine!).
