EARTH DANCE FAQ'S

This is free to go to - but of course you very much need donations of time, money and items?

Yes, your understanding is correct. Folks need to provide their own food for their stay, however, we have Mexican volunteers to cook a meal a day for the whole group. They need help also in the cooking. For most coming from the states carrying food, tarpes, etc. is too much. So monetary donations seems to be the easiest for most.

Please contact us before hand if you can contribute in actual commodities, such as food, tarps, etc. We have volunteers from the Yaqui and Mexican communities to do cooking. (for a once a day community feed) They will need kitchen supplies, etc. Beans, rice, flour, chilies in abundance are needed - Always a necessity!

If they bring a check, please make it out to Adam DeArmon. (not Yellow Bird, because he has a bank account in his anglo name.)Contributions can be sent beforehand to:

Adam DeArmon
940 Calle Tomallo
Clarkdale, Az. 86324
Before May 1st.

Yellow Bird funded last years ceremony and has already bought much for this year's. The money will go to help pay this back and buy food and wood, gas for the vechicles that haul the wood, etc.

What kind of items should people bring, and what are the facilities?

Campers should bring their own food and water. And be prepared to clean their campsites. As far as bathroom facilities, there are none at this time. Last year we dug latreens, bring your own toilet paper and know proper disposal. We may be able to get some Johnny on the spots if there is enough money. The grounds are located far into a boulderous area, so vehicles may not be able to get there. WE have trucks that come to the top to carry people and their stuff down if need be. A Van or truck can make it down.

How do we get there? Directions?

Directions to the Earth Dance as follows:

Tecate is located on the boarder of Baja Ca. and California, about 60 miles east of Tijuana. Just past Campo from the East and Jamul from San Diego. Please refer to your map to find the best route there from where you are.

When you cross over the international boarder into Tecate continue straight for about 2 blocks until you get to a T intersection. Make a left. Follow for about another 2 blocks and turn Right on Mexican Rt. 3 south towards Ensenada. It is clearly marked on above the road signs. Follow for about 1-2 miles outside of town and look for Los Cabos bar and restaurant on the left. (There is a large Sword Fish on the building) Pull into the parking lot and to the southern edge of the lot there is a dirt road that leads you into a community development. This is the road to the ceremony land. Follow > > the red flags thru the development.

Reminder: If you want to contribute with your talents in anyway, please contact us...

Campers are responsible for their own food, water, shelter, and clean up. Remember this is the Mexican desert, hot days, cool nites.
